Shayna Fonseka lives and works in London, UK. She received a BFA from the Slade School of Art in 2017. Fonseka’s work is influenced by the urban and industrial landscape and explores a sense of place, displacement and placelessness.
In 2022, Fonseka curated and organised a collective exhibition titled 'Forms without Forms’ at Asylum Studios, Suffolk. Recent exhibitions include: Carry on Baggage, Galeria Augustine, Lisbon, 2023; Worth the Journey, Lewisham Art House, London, 2022; Carpeted Stares, AMP Gallery, London, 2022; Can’t take my eyes off you, indigo + madder, London, 2022; A Generous Space, Hastings Contemporary, Hastings, 2021-2022; amongst others.
